10 to 15% of Canadians suffer from urinary incontinence to different degrees.

Our main objective is to enhance quality and quantity of research on urinary incontinence produced by Canadian researchers. Ultimately each Canadian and others will benefit from these discoveries.

This disabling problem may occur in children, adults and the elderly seriously impacting their quality of life. The problem can require the sufferer to live with a pad, a catheter, or a diaper for the rest of their life. Urinary incontinence may be the result of a congenital malformation, a required surgery, or disease.

Significant progress is made daily as a result of important research in this field. We are working constantly to better understand the mechanism of incontinence and improve the available treatments. To help reach this goal join us in supporting CFRI.
